LOS ANGELES – The gayborhood is coming back to Downtown Los Angeles – Two LGBT bars are expected to launch early next year. One of them is expected to open its doors by February.
Redline is planned to open in the Historic Core on the ground floor of the Santa Fe Lofts, DT News reports. The 1,900-square-foot watering hole would be located at 121 E. Sixth Street and feature a dance floor, menu and brunch.
Another LGBT bar, Precinct, is scheduled to open a few blocks away at Broadway and Fourth Street. The 8,500-square-foot space would have a Prohibition era police theme and be divided into a patio, pub and dance floor, FrontiersLA reported in April. An opening date has not been announced yet.
The bars would be located nearby Pershing Square, which is LGBT historically significiant since that area was gay hotspot for decades.
